Allen Bailochan Tuladhar, Microsoft Regional Director (Global); Country Director of Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal (MIC Nepal); Executive Chairperson of BrainWorks Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd; Chief Executive Officer of Unlimited Technologies Pvt Ltd; CEO of Picosoft P Ltd (rural ISP of Nepal); Patron of BernHardt MTI School, Chairperson of Imperial Savings and Credit Cooperative Ltd and Member Secretary of Nepali Language in Information Technology, Steering Committee under High Level Commission of Information Technology of Government of Nepal and Chairperson of Forum for Information Technology Nepal (FIT Nepal) has served as the Member of National Information Technology Council chaired by the Prime Minister of Nepal and formed under the National IT Policy of Government of Nepal. He has also served as the General Secretary of Computer Association of Nepal for two terms of two years each. He has been working in the field of local language computing in the information & Communication sector of Nepal for the past 22 years and has been representing Nepal to the Asian Forum for Information Technology for the past 10 years and has also been contributing to International Standards Development in the field of local language computing to ISO and Unicode. He was responsible for Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Proofing Tools, Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Office 2010 and Office 2013 into Nepali language for Microsoft Corporation, USA. He has also been awarded Most Valuable Professional by Microsoft for 2005 and has been re-awarded this prestigious recognition again in April, 2006, 7, 8, 9 and for the sixth consecutive year in April 2010. He is currently driving the Mission Swaabhimaan, a multi-stakeholder partnership of government ministries and agencies, international development agencies, donor agencies, non-government organizations, civil society organizations, academia, private companies and its associations to create a knowledge revolution in rural Nepal by establishing 1,500 rural tele-centers as envisioned by the current 10th five-year plan of National Planning Commission of Government of Nepal, further to meet the poverty reduction strategy of Nepal and on the international level to meet the Millennium Development Goals. In August 2006, the United Nations recognized Allen as a Champion in using ICT for development in the Global Alliance for ICT for Development. From July, 2007, Allen is also responsible for the Microsoft presence in Nepal thru its office as the Microsoft MDP Nepal as its Country Manager. Allen has also been responsible for the analysis and project design for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV at Biratnagar Eye Hospital and Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital along with 7 eye clinics in Eastern Nepal. He is also the Project Manager of the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP project at Nepal CRS Co with the assistance of USAID Nepal thru FHI-360 where the integration of Windows Phone 7, GPS tracking of every retail outlet, Bing Maps and SQL Azure was done. Allen is a also a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and also a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) in Project Management using Microsoft SureStep Project Management Methodologies. From 2007, Allen has been responsible for working with the academic sector, local software economy and advocacy with the local and central government as the Country Director of Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal. Truly believing that a big impact for the next generation is only possible with education, Allen has also invested into BernHardt MTI School and is the Patron of this School. Believing that connectivity is critical for the rural schools, Allen also acquired Picosoft P Ltd, a rural ISP and has started to provided connectivity to rural schools in Dhading district in Rural Nepal. In order to ensure that the youths and entrepreneurs have access to finance, Allen has bought over a 9 year old Imperial Savings & Credit Cooperative Ltd to provide digital financial services for financial inclusion to the bottom of the economic pyramid in rural Nepal.
