Samridh is a prolific young Indian inventor and investor based in Mumbai and the Founder and CEO of Akarshala. He is the inventor of and holds 15 issued patents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office,and has more than 20 patents pending at USPTO and other international offices. Samridh was the youngest inventor from India (24 years,206 days) to file 28 international applications at Patent Cooperation Treaty stage in 2012. He was also the top ranked Indian inventor at International Offices in 2012. For the above patent portfolio, his company Akarshala was awarded the National Intellectual Property Award 2018 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and recognised as the ‘Top Indian Private Company (MSME) for Patents and Commercialisation 2018’, alongside Samsung (Top Foreign Company) and Wipro (Top Indian Public Company). Akarshala, founded in 2010 with the mission to improve the quality and quantity of research and innovation output from India, has established a premiere IP strategy practice, helping Indian inventors and organizations protect and commercialize their innovations internationally. A lifelong academic, Samridh studied Finance, Management and Economics at the University of Mumbai and is currently on indefinite leave from its undergraduate management programme, after topping the nationwide entrance examination to the course.
