Ms. Rashmee Ragaven is the Head of Advanced Manufacturing for Investment Attraction and Facilitation in Investment South Africa. She has extensive public and private sector experience and senior management experience in the various portfolios that she has led. She advises international companies and domestic companies on setting up manufacturing facilities as well as expansions in South Africa. She represents the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition at international conferences and speaks at various engagements representing the sectors of Aerospace, Defence, Chemicals, Healthcare, Fuel Cells and Electronics. She represents the Department on various task teams and is part of the Investment Promotion practitioners responsible for the President's Investment Mobilisation Drive in the country. She has also been in provincial government attracting investment in the automotive sector and was the Head of Government Affairs for Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa. She was awarded the Top Leader in the Public Sector in 2020 by Standard Bank. Ms Ragaven also held various portfolios in the Department including being responsible for engaging with companies on how to access the financial incentives offered by the Department.
